Madison is a very easy city to have a lot of fun on a small budget. For twenty dollars you can easily have a fun filled day. I love to be outside and Madison is a great place for that. One of my favorite places is the Henry Villas Zoo. It is completely free to the public and open until 5pm every day. A nice perk is that it is only about a five minute walk from Edgewood. I go any time of the year. There is a nice combination of outdoor and indoor viewing areas so it is even a fun place to go during the winter, you have places to stay warm. My favorite animal to see is the red panda.
Also there is a long walk way around the zoo that is nice to take in the sights of Lake Wingra. It’s a pretty sweet view at sundown.
Madison is also great if you want to go on a nice nature walk to the arboretum. The arboretum is basically a nature walk. During the spring it is filled with animals and blooming flowers, a must see site. It is a great place to go on a run or just take a walk and talk with someone. It is one of my favorite spots during finals week because it gives me a chance to relax and get away from the stresses of school.
These are only a few things to do in Madison. When it is colder out you could plan a whole different day that is very cheap or completely free.

I would like to know more about campus ministry and growing in Catholic faith on campus and what other Catholic resources there our in Madison.
Here is a wonderful website that can direct you to Edgewood’s Religious Studies program: http://www.edgewood.edu/Academics/Undergraduate/ReligiousStudies.aspx
This is the fact sheet for the college’s ministries: http://www.edgewood.edu/Portals/0/pdf/Events/Orientation/College%20Ministries%20One-Sheet.pdf
